Following the acquisition of Trustpower’s retail arm, Mercury set out to become more than just a merged entity — they aimed to evolve into a resilient, adaptive enterprise. That meant combining cultures, modernising delivery, and embedding new ways of working across the organisation. Radically partnered with Mercury through this journey, not just to design the change — but to enable it from within.
Our Approach
We started by co-designing and coaching several pilot initiatives across key business units — including Retail, Generation, and the wider enterprise. These pilots tested and refined new ways of working, with executive sponsors backing each initiative. From these learnings, Mercury created an internal Adaptive Practice — supported by Radically — to grow in-house transformation capability and scale adaptive delivery across the organization.
Simultaneously, we partnered to deliver a leadership development program designed to shift mindsets, uplift capability, and create alignment at every level — from the executive team to functional leaders.
